Today at 4:00 the 2nd annual Midwest Alphorn Retreat will open with a "happy hour" for everyone to get acquainted before the first gormet meal at Hidden Hollows Retreat in Lagro, IN. The retreat is totally filled with 15 alphorn enthusiasts! There will be three public perforfmances this weekend starting with a recital on the lake at Hidden Hollows Friday evening at 7:30. Saturday the group will perform at the dedication of the Swiss Clock Tower replica in Berne, IN. The group will perform at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne, IN on Sunday at 2:00. Everyone is invited!

The alphorn concert was awesome! Peggy DeMers did an exceptional job leading the group of 14 alphorn players - 15 including herself. The setting at Hidden Hollows was lovely and the chorus from nature added to the ambience.

Awesome indeed! The reflection of the players on the lake made them appear to be in the Alps! We have some great photos if we can figure out how to get them loaded on here! Can't wait for the performances in Berne today!
